Suyun Gözyaşları (Tears of Water)
The future of our world lies in the hands of our children, and instilling environmental
awareness is crucial to making this future sustainable. The ITU Environmental Engineering
Club embarked on this perspective and launched the “Suyun Gözyaşları” project in 2008. The
project aims to encourage children to understand the importance of nature, especially water, to
protect water resources, and to assume the responsibility of leaving a clean water source for
future generations.
In addition, our goals include imparting environmental consciousness to children by
explaining the importance of nature to them, educating them on sustainable lifestyles such as
recycling and energy conservation, and fostering sustainability awareness.
We strive to create our educational materials with colorful presentations and games that will
captivate the children's interest. Through our magazine called "Havadan Sudan," we simplify
environmental issues to a level that children can understand, encouraging them to think about
these topics while reading and having fun. Together, with Suyun Gözyaşları, we are moving
towards a cleaner and more sustainable future.
