Our club’s activities are summarized below:
SUSTAINABLE ECOSYSTEM DAYS (SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİR EKOSİSTEM GÜNLERİ)
Sustainable Ecosystem Days (SEG) is ITU’s first national carbon neutral congress, which is an event organized entirely by the ITU Environmental Engineering Club members. These involve the organization of speakers, participants, technical infrastructure, organization scheme, announcements, accommodation of participants, and sponsorship agreements.

TEARS OF WATER (SUYUN GÖZYAŞLARI)
Tears of Water, commenced its activities in 2008, and is carried out nationally by ITU Environmental Engineering Club students, universities and their teams. This is a social responsibility project aiming to inform and raise awareness among primary and secondary school children about water and environmental awareness. With this project, the importance and methods of conserving water are explained to thousands of students annually. Trained students are awarded the title of “Water Protector”.

ENVIRONMENTAL MEETINGS (ÇEVRE BULUŞMALARI)
This project aims to bring ITU graduate environmental engineers and undergraduates together. Additionally, it allows undergraduates to get to know relevant industries more closely and helps these students to plan their career path while still at university

CMK ACADEMY (ÇMK AKADEMİ)
ÇMK Academy is a project aiming to introduce environmental engineering and ITU to high school students. The objective is to give students a broader perspective of the department of Environmental Engineering.

EKOLOJIKA
Ekolojika is a web-based establishment; the team consists of environmental engineering undergraduates and environmental engineers. Founded in 2013, it continues its activities in cooperation with the ITU Environmental Engineering Club. The objective of Ekolojika is to impartially explain the sustainable solutions of environmental and ecological issues of the world and announce environmentalist designs to a wider audience. Ekolojika aims to reveal sustainable solutions to all environmental issues with the support of its academic content.

SUSTAINABLE STRATEGIES SUMMIT (SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİR STRATEJİLER ÇALIŞTAYI)
Sustainable Strategies Summit is an event that brings together undergraduate and graduate university students with relevant sector stakeholders and where participants develop new ideas and strategies by focusing on sustainability for two days. In the presentations made during our event, our aim is to ensure that industry stakeholders work together with students and to provide our participants with a different perspective in line with ESG criteria.

TECHNICAL TRIPS
Technical trips outside the province are organized each semester to contribute to the professional development of the students of the Environmental Engineering Department.
Visits to facilities belonging to the private sector and public institutions are carried out allowing on-site examinations of the practices of these facilities. Facilities are generally selected from the range of water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, solid waste plants, power plants and industrial production facilities.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Social events are organized by the ITU Environmental Engineering Club many times a year. These events include breakfast, dinner, and entertainment organizations. These also include visits to institutions such as child welfare institutions and nursing homes. Appropriate activities are usually planned on these trips within the rules and permit limits of the host institution.
