SEG (Sustainable Ecosystem Days)
Sustainable Ecosystem Days (SEG) is a Turkey-wide organization prepared by students who
are members of ITU Environmental Engineering Club. Sustainable Ecosystem Days, which is
the first carbon neutral congress prepared by students and the first carbon neutral congress of
ITU, has been held every year since 2009. SEG is organized by a team consisting entirely of
ITU students. In addition to students from all age groups, from many cities in Turkey; congress
offers free participation to academics who have worked or are working with the understanding
of sustainability, companies with a sustainable environmental approach, and sector
representatives with global sensitivity and vision on the environment. In this context,
participants are given a two-day seminar with sessions on various topics in the field of
sustainability.
Sustainable Ecosystem Days aims to raise the awareness of the new generation that will find
solutions to these problems by expressing global environmental problems, and also tries to
convey the developments in the fields of climate change and sustainability to the participants.
